Nights of Eternity How to Play Killer
Springtrap, Foxy, Freddy, and Withered Bonnie: interrupt arcades, spend melee, close Last Man Standing.
Killer in Nights of Eternity is a clock race. You are one animatronic against up to eight survivors who cut 20 seconds off the night every time a cabinet completes. Five sets of three cabinets spawn from six possible spots. If you tunnel the first Night Guard you see while the other seven finish Old Man Consequences and Puppet games, the round ends with you still swinging. This page is the hunt guide. Pair it with Arcade Objectives so you know which glow to break, and with How to Survive so you understand the loops you are attacking. Starter lobby advice is in Getting Started. Role contrast is in How to Play Survivor. The index is the Guides Hub.
Win condition
You win by eliminating every survivor before the timer hits zero. You do not win by dealing the most Slash damage to one target while cabinets complete behind you. Patrol the six spawn candidates, interrupt minigames, and only hard-commit a chase when:
- the survivor is already bleeding or slowed,
- you will get a down before another set finishes,
- or the lobby is already in Last Man Standing.
Last Man Standing starts when one survivor remains: timer sets to 1:14, both sides are highlighted, LMS music plays, and Invisibility plus Undetectable are almost useless. That is your cleanup window. Do not waste it searching empty FNaF 2 vents.
Health: Springtrap 1000, Foxy 800, Freddy 1000, Withered Bonnie 1000. The Puppet is upcoming. Status you apply (Bleeding, Weakness, Slowness, Helpless, and the rest) stacks in Roman numerals; read status effects so you know why a survivor suddenly looks slow.
Springtrap (free, all-rounder, 1000 HP)
Learn him first. Slash 20 plus Bleeding, Punch 35, Seek aura, Cleave axe throw.
- Slash is the default tag. Apply Bleeding, then decide whether to keep swinging or rotate to a cabinet. Bleeding does work after you leave.
- Punch is the heavier melee when you are already in range. Do not walk Punch from across a dining room.
- Seek is an aura. Use it when survivors scatter or after a stun, not as a replacement for looking at glowing cabinets.
- Cleave is the axe throw for people leaving a hallway or sitting on a cabinet you cannot reach in time.
Springtrap is the answer to mixed lobbies: you can pressure Phone Guy through brute HP, and you can still throw Cleave at a Night Guard Masking off an arcade. Respect Taunt (3s stun) and Henry Brace. If you eat a stun mid-Cleave, you donated a cabinet.
Foxy ($800, stealth, 800 HP)
Slash 25, Pounce 40, Sneak (Invisibility plus speed), Dive 23. You have the lowest HP on the killer roster, so you cannot facetank three sentinels. Sneak into a set, Pounce the person mid-minigame (40 is your spike), Slash to confirm, Dive (23) as the movement hit when they turn a corner. Foxy wins if the first contact is a Pounce, not a polite Slash from the doorway.
Against Mask and Freddy-style Phase users, remember LMS will highlight everyone anyway. Sneak is for the first six minutes, not for the last 74 seconds. Against Michael, do not Pounce through a Shocker zone if you can walk around it. Against Evan Flashlight, Helpless plus Slowness will dump your momentum; disengage and take a different set.
Freddy ($1100, zoner, 1000 HP)
Swing 26, Mic Throw 15 plus aura, Lullaby plush (slow and weak), Phase (Invisibility plus reveal). Freddy is not Foxy. You own rooms. Throw Mic to tag people on cabinets, drop Lullaby so the next loop is in Slowness and Weakness, Swing for 26 when they are already taxed, Phase to reposition and to reveal. You spend money on Freddy when survivors keep kiting Springtrap around tables and you need the plush to make those tables expensive.
Do not treat Mic Throw’s 15 as your main damage. It is a tag plus aura. The down comes from Swing after Lullaby. Phase is not Foxy Sneak with more HP; it reveals, so use it to find the cabinet cluster you have not visited, then turn the Invisibility into a Swing, not into a sightseeing tour.
Withered Bonnie (early access, 1000 HP)
Payback shortens the stuns you eat. Punch 26 with anti-heal. Grab dash 35. Scream applies Slowness at 80 studs. Reveal lasts 5 seconds. This kit is how you beat stacked heals: Punch the Evan pocket, Grab the runner, Scream the group that thought 80 studs was safe, Reveal the Mask user. Because Payback shortens stuns, you can take more Phone Guy and Henry interactions than Springtrap can, but you still should not stand in Taunt on purpose.
If the lobby is all Night Guards with Pizza, anti-heal Punch matters more than another Slash. If the lobby is Cassidy plus Rift, Reveal and Scream punish the portal exit at the furthest arcade.
Hunt route, not hero chase
On FNaF 1, FNaF 2, and FNaF 3, walk a route that touches arcade spawn candidates. When you see a glow, that is the objective. Hit the person at the cabinet first even if another survivor is closer and healthier. A cancelled minigame is 20 seconds you kept on the clock. Inputs for looking, swinging, and throwing are in Nights of Eternity Controls.
Stun discipline: Phone Guy Taunt is 3 seconds. Henry Strike is a stun with stored charges. Cassidy ITS ME can stun based on Torment charges. Withered Bonnie Payback makes those windows shorter; Springtrap and Foxy have to respect the full duration. After a stun, leave if two other survivors are on a set. Greed is how 1000 HP still loses.
Who to buy
Stay on Springtrap until Cleave hits leaving targets and you stop tunneling. Buy Foxy if you already win first contact and want Sneak plus Pounce 40. Buy Freddy if survivors loop you in the open and you need Lullaby. Play Withered Bonnie when you have early access and the lobby is heal-heavy. Check the killers roster and the killers tier list after updates. The roadmap is where Puppet will show up, not in your current loadout screen.
Killer play is interruption first, highlight second. Cabinets are the survivor win condition; every swing that is not near a glow needs a reason.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Who should I play for my first killer games?
Springtrap is free, 1000 HP, and covers Slash, Punch, Seek, and Cleave. Buy Foxy or Freddy after that kit feels automatic. See Getting Started if you still need lobby basics.
Should I chase the first survivor I see?
Only if they are on a cabinet or already tagged. Otherwise rotate to glowing sets. Spawn logic is in Arcade Objectives.
What changes in Last Man Standing as killer?
The timer sets to 1:14, both of you are highlighted, and Invisibility or Undetectable almost stop working. Run the highlight; do not sweep empty rooms. Survivor-side stalling is in How to Survive.
How do I deal with Phone Guy and Henry stuns?
Do not swing into obvious Taunt or Brace. Withered Bonnie shortens stuns with Payback; other killers must leave after the 3-second window and hit a different set.
Foxy has 800 HP. Is that a problem?
Yes if you facetank sentinels. Foxy wants Sneak into Pounce 40, not a brawl. Matchup notes for survivor kits are in How to Play Survivor.
Where are killer keybinds?
Ability buttons are on the HUD. Movement, M1 timing, and throws are covered in Nights of Eternity Controls.
