Nights of Eternity Night Guard

Free Survivalist with Overtime, Mask, and Pizza.

Night Guard

Night Guard is the free Survivalist you unlock on night one of Nights of Eternity. The quote on the kit is Welcome to your new summer job. Health is 100. Movement uses the default survivor sheet: stamina 100, walk 12, run 26, drain 10, gain 30. The kit is built to path cabinets, break a chase, and keep sprinting. It is not a stun kit. If your lobby has nobody who can stop the animatronic, pair this character with Phone Guy instead of queuing five more Night Guards.

ST-GB Team shipped the game on 25 March 2026. Maps are FNaF 1, FNaF 2, and FNaF 3. Completing an arcade still cuts twenty seconds, and Last Man Standing still jumps the clock to 1:14 with both auras highlighted. Mask is a strong mid-night tool and a weak last-life tool. Read how to play survivor for the role, then come back here for button order.

Overtime

Overtime needs one charge. On use it grants Speed I for 5 seconds on a 35-second cooldown. You do not start a night with a charge in hand unless a previous Pizza already banked one, so the first sprint is usually a raw run to the nearest cabinet cluster. Spend Overtime to cross a hallway after a missed M1, to beat Springtrap to the next arcade after Seek, or to leave a Withered Bonnie Grab angle. Do not burn it in place because you are nervous. Speed I is short; the value is distance, not a full stamina bar.

Pizza is how you reload the charge. If you eat in a safe room, you leave with both health and a sprint for the next rotation. If you eat in the open, you donate a 3-second windup to whoever is hunting you.

Mask

Mask is a Freddy head. Windup is 3 seconds. For 5 seconds you gain Invisibility V, Undetectable I, and slowness. Cooldown is 50 seconds. The slowness value is not listed as a named tier in the kit sheet, so treat the window as a break, not a faster run. You become hard to see and hard to detect, then you walk.

Start the 3-second windup before the killer rounds the corner, not after the first Slash already landed. Against Springtrap, Mask after Seek is revealed is often too late — he already has your aura. Against Foxy, Mask during Sneak is a coin flip because both of you are invisible. Against Freddy, Mask does not delete Lullaby plush slow. Against Withered Bonnie, Mask does not beat a Grab that already started. Last Man Standing highlights you anyway, so hold Mask only if you need a 5-second body fade to finish a cabinet, not as a second life.

Status names are defined on status effects. Undetectable and Invisibility are not the same as a stun. You still take full damage if the killer guesses the tile.

Pizza

Pizza is a 3-second eat. You heal 5 HP immediately, then 2 HP every 0.5 seconds for 20 HP, and you gain an Overtime charge. Cooldown is 60 seconds. That is your only self-heal. It is slower than Phone Guy Repair in a vacuum and does not help teammates the way Evan’s Plushie does. Eat after you break line of sight, never at the cabinet you are still playing. The 3-second windup is a Grab, Pounce, and Punch magnet.

Because Pizza also banks Overtime, a healthy Night Guard who just ate is the fastest rotator on the survivor roster. A wounded Night Guard who is still holding Pizza “for later” is the reason Last Man Standing starts at 1:14 with you on 20 HP.

Skins

Default is free. Night Shift is $400, Sleepy $550, Mike $600, Bite of ‘87 $700. None of these change Overtime, Mask, or Pizza. Buy them if you like the look. Mike is a palette nod, not a second Michael Afton kit — Michael is a different $600 Support with a floor shocker.

How to spend a night on this kit

Open arcade objectives and pick a two-cabinet route on whatever map loaded. You are the runner. Let Phone Guy, Henry, or Cassidy take the stun. Let Evan take the heal. Your sequence is cabinet, Mask if a chase starts, Pizza in a side room, Overtime to the next cluster. Bindings are on controls. If you keep dying on the windup, you are pressing Mask too late or Pizza too early.

Against Springtrap, never Mask into Cleave range and never Pizza in a hallway he can Seek. Against Foxy, do not stand still after Sneak ends — that is Pounce range. Against Freddy, walk around Lullaby, do not Mask through it. Against Withered Bonnie, treat every long corridor as a Grab and eat Pizza behind a wall. In Last Man Standing, drop the stealth plan: both auras are on, the clock is 1:14, and you either finish the last arcade or you kite with Overtime.

Night Guard is the right first main and a poor only main. After a few nights, read getting started if the loop is still fuzzy, then add a sentinel from the Players Hub. Rankings for this kit live on the survivor tier list. If you want a different job tonight, the survivor picker will bounce you to stun or heal. For the other side of the lobby, open the killer roster; Springtrap is the killer this kit was designed to lose chases to unless you actually use Mask.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is Night Guard free?

Yes. Night Guard is the free Survivalist starter. Default skin is free. Night Shift, Sleepy, Mike, and Bite of '87 are token cosmetics and do not change the kit.

How do I get an Overtime charge?

Pizza grants an Overtime charge when you finish the 3-second eat. Overtime then spends that charge for Speed I for 5 seconds on a 35-second cooldown.

Does Mask work in Last Man Standing?

Barely. Last Man Standing highlights both auras, so Invisibility and Undetectable do not hide you the way they do mid-night. Use Mask to fade a 5-second cabinet finish, not to disappear for the rest of the 1:14.

Should I eat Pizza during a chase?

No. Pizza has a 3-second windup. Eat after you break line of sight. The heal is 5 HP then 20 HP over time, which does not outpace a killer who is already swinging.

Who should I pair with Night Guard?

Phone Guy for a stun and self-heal, or Cassidy if you own early access. Night Guard is a runner. A lobby of only Survivalists will lose cabinets the moment someone gets caught.

Is Night Guard the same as Michael Afton?

No. Night Guard is the free Survivalist. Michael Afton is a $600 Support with Shocker and Self Shock. The Mike skin is only a palette on this kit.
